Business loans
Due to the high volume of lending completed by GLE oneLondon over the last six months, we have nearly reached the limit of funds currently available under the Economic Recovery Loan Fund and our Start-Up Fund is now fully lent. Therefore we are unable to accept any further applications for these funds. We do however have funds available for businesses based in Bexley, Croydon, Lambeth, and south Westminster.
We are however currently running the new Mentoring 4 Success Programme, which is aimed at assisting you to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively present your business proposition to investors and lenders and ultimately maximise your chances of securing finance.

Finance Readiness seminar: 12th March 2010, 10.00-15.30
- An overview of the finance raising process
- Find out how lenders assess a business proposition
- Obtain information on available funding options
- De-mystify terminology used by lenders
- Find out how to improve your lending proposition
A Pitching and Presentation workshop: 29th March 2010, 10.00-16.00
- Learn how to prepare for and conduct business meetings with lenders
- Take part in a mock loan panel interview
- Important Note: Before attending this workshop you must have attended the Finance Readiness seminar.
Lending Proposition critique
After attending the Pitching and Presentation workshop, you will be able to submit your lending proposition to our experienced SME Finance Team who will carry out a critique of the viability of the proposition and advise as to the likelihood of you securing finance. You will also receive an action plan detailing the changes we recommend you make to your proposition in order to strengthen your chances of obtaining funding.
Who is eligible? Any new start-up or existing business. Businesses in the retail and wholesale sectors are ineligible for this support.
